Jenne and I met it late 2014 when she introduced herself and her new business. Her talent was unmatched, but her personality and humor stood out most of all. This is a chick I wanted to be friends with. Over the years, we worked together–she provided beautiful artwork for some of my clients and worked with my as my associate photographer for over two years–and hung out together–donuts and beer-style. Her fabulous fiancé is pretty much a clone of my husband (they even have their own couple name, y’all–get outta here, Kimye). So when I heard Greg + Jen were engaged, I secretly hoped/wished/prayed that she’d ask me to take her photos (she did, obvs)! But taking another photographer’s photos is nerve-wracking! I’d never been so nervous to send out some pictures. Thankfully, these pretty people made it a given that we’d have equally pretty photos.

Love ya, J-Lew! I will never forget Ja Rule at the Horse Farm.

Senior sessions are one of my faves. They’re just so fun and full of life! And this session was no different. Most often parents join us for the senior sessions (and are always welcome, of course!), but Brooke requested a one-on-one session with me and it was awesome! If you’re like me, then you’re not used to being in front of the camera so nerves can sometimes show up on our photo day. Having an audience might not help those nerves, so a one-on-one session really let Brooke and me connect, have some fun, take some silly pictures, and then get these gorgeous keepers!

The Gautreauxes are the most adorable family. They are so full of life and positivity. I just want to be around them 24/7. 😍😍😍

Yay! I finally have a place to blog again, and first up is this beautiful family! I had such a good time working with them, and Miss Lana’s little smiles and giggles were absolutely contagious! When you’re having a bad day, just come look at this post and it’ll be sure to cheer you up!

A lot of moms worry that their kids haven’t given the photographer any good smiles or anything to work with. Trust me when I say not to worry!! Stiff, posed photos might not always work with Littles, but beautiful, timeless photos are created through the moments of their little giggles and mischievous ways. What I see through my lens is real life, love, and happiness, and children are the most perfectly pure representatives of that. While the session might seem chaotic on one side, the photos will reveal the moments that truly matter! Plus a few outtakes but those are keepers in my book! 😉

I finally get to showcase this gorgeous girl’s bridals! Everything about her on this day was perfect–her dress, her flowers, her hair, her makeup. Umm, and she did her own makeup! I’ve watched YouTube How-Tos and read makeup blogs, etc. but when I attempt to do my own “professional style” makeup, I end up looking like The Joker. #talent

Outwardly beauty aside, Lea was such a pleasure to work with. She is smart and sweet and bubbly–truly a beautiful soul. She’s like a little ray of sunshine, and you just can’t help but smile when you’re around her. And that’s just what Hunter did on their wedding day. ALL. SMILES. ALL. DAY. LONG.

Thank you, Lea, for having me photograph such a beautiful time if your life!
